Comments
This hotel is proud of its hotel gym, according to their website. The fact is, it’s very tired and worn out.
This is exemplified by the bench of the “barbell setup” which doesn’t feel safe enough to take the available weight. The seat of the bench is warped and broken, and the back is broken too.
The have an individual adjustable bench too. However, it’s also broken with bolts sticking through the frame, and it feels very unsafe when using it.
The room feels pretty grim and not clean.

I don’t recall the opening hours, but I have a strange feeling it’s from 6m to 10pm.

It’s very clean – after each station has been cleaned for another user, it’s marked with a green cone. It’s a shame and surprising they don’t have complimentary towels. However, everything else was accounted for.

There’s a nice view of the pool area from the cardio machines which is nice “distraction” while running or cross-training, for example.

Based on the hotel gym, would you stay at this hotel next time you’re in the area?

A well-equipped hotel gym with all the required equipment for a good work out.
Opening hours are from 6am to 10pm.

With classes also running every day, there’s a good mix of gym and aerobic fitness center. It’s always clean and the staff is friendly. It’s well occupied but not busy.

All in all, it’s a great facility including a fully functional sauna and steam room in the changing rooms.

Unfortunately, there’s no space really for floor work. It’s all quite crammed in and no separate area like a yoga room or stretch room. However, they do seem to have most things, and plenty of them.

Based on the hotel gym, would you stay at this hotel next time you’re in the area?
Yes! This hotel gym has everything you’d want and is definitively worth recommending.

There’s also a multi-gym allowing you to do leg extensions, shoulder presses or seated rows.

Does the hotel gym offer complementary towels? Yes.

Comments
It’s a small hotel gym with a limited range of equipment.

It’s clean and although it’s not possible to open any windows, there’s proper air conditioning.

There’s Wi-Fi and music playing on a TV.

Due to the COVID-19 situation, there’s a maximum capacity of three people. However, since it’s not really enforced and because of the limited space, it was difficult to do a proper workout while maintaining social distancing.

It would’ve been nice if there’d been a squat rack and some exercise mats. Ideally, they should also have heavier dumbbells.

Based on the hotel gym, would you stay at this hotel next time you’re in the area?
Not sure…

The hotel gym is well ventilated, there’s lots of natural lighting and a nice view of the area from the big windows.

Does the hotel gym offer complementary water? Yes.

Comments
There was a wide range of equipment – all in good working condition.
If you’re looking for a heavy workout, there’s plenty of options – more than 200 kgs in weight plates.

Gym instructors were available to help out and PT sessions could be booked.

The hotel gym itself is large and the equipment is spaced out (sufficient for social distancing). There were two hygiene stations and sanitizer dispensers as well as cleaners regularly cleaning the gym equipment and changing the bins.

Good music was playing in the hotel gym and the Wi-Fi connection was good, if you want to listen to your own music.
The natural and artificial lighting as well as air conditioning was good.

There weren’t any exercise mats which might be COVID related.
Cardio equipment is somewhat limited which meant that it was often occupied and left people waiting. Obviously, the COVID situation resulting in some of the equipment being sealed off didn’t help.

The hotel gym overlooks the pool areas at either side of the hotel gym. It’s good that you can look outside and have a little bit of a view. However, I found it a little strange as it must be slightly uncomfortable for those swimming in the pool or relaxing on the sun loungers.

I don’t recall the open hours but it was open every day – you just sign in at the reception.

Based on the hotel gym, would you stay at this hotel next time you’re in the area?
Yes!
