Dumbbells go up to 100 lbs/45 kgs, there’re a few kettlebells and two adjustable benches – one of them being the decline version.
There’s also a multi-gym making it possible to do leg extensions, lat pull-downs, seated rows, chest presses and shoulder presses.
There’s also a dual cable machine.
 
In terms of cardio equipment, there’re four treadmills, three cross-trainers and two stationary bikes.
 
Accessories include exercise balls, Bosu balls, medicine balls and yoga blocks.

I was very happy to see they had heavy punching bags. I would come here just for that. They even offer kickboxing classes.
You can schedule personal training sessions.
There’s a steam room and a sauna.

Yes! It’s the best hotel gym I’ve ever visited!

There’s a small selection of kettlebells, dumbbells go up to 50 lbs/22 kgs and there’s an adjustable bench as well.
There’s a multi-gym in the corner making it possible to do leg extensions/curls, lat pull-downs, chest presses, shoulder presses, etc.
There’s a machine for ab crunches and a tower making it possible to do leg raises and chin ups/pull ups.
They also have a few barbells along with a fair selection of weight plates.
 
As for cardio equipment, there’s a cross-trainer and two treadmills.
 
Accessories include medicine balls, a Bosu ball and an exercise ball.

Does the hotel gym offer complimentary water? Yes.

The hotel gym is open 24/7.

There a nice range of barbells and dumbbells went from 5lbs to 75lbs/2 to 34 kgs and there were several benches to work with.
There’s also a wide selection of pin-operated machines – for example, chest press, shoulder press, biceps curls, calf raises and cable machines.
 
There’s also a fairly extensive selection of cardio equipment covering treadmills, stationary bikes, cross-trainers and even spinning bikes.
 
Accessories include Bosu balls, medicine balls, exercise balls, exercise mats, boxes for box jumps and exercise mats.

Does the hotel gym offer complimentary water? Yes.

I believe the opening hours were 6am to 10pm.
The lower level offers more CrossFit type of equipment.
 
All the equipment was great to work with. I was glad they had barbells – you don’t see that too often in hotel gyms.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay

The cardio section consists of a step machine, a rowing machine, three cross-trainers and four treadmills.
 
There’s a combined lat pull-down and chest press machine as well as a leg extension/leg curl machine.
There’s also a Smith machine and a pretty decent range of weight plates which also come in handy with the available EZ bars.
They also have a Captain’s chair in case you’re in the mood for pull-ups, dips, etc.
Finally, there’s a solid selection of dumbbells and a handful of kettlebells as well as two adjustable benches.

Does the hotel gym offer complementary water? Yes.
 
Comments
It was nice that sanitizers were available and I enjoyed having the gym to myself.
Opening hours are from 7am to 6pm.

No, not really – it wasn’t something I’d go back for.

In terms of cardio, there’re cross-trainers and treadmills.
There’s a fair selection of dumbbells as well as adjustable benches, a cable machine, a Smith machine and a handful of standard machines like the lat pull, shoulder press and chest press.

Comments
The gym was located in a “ZEN” space – in peaceful and beautiful surroundings away from high activity areas.
Very beautiful views, clean, spacious and with a wide variety of types of equipment to work with.
The attendants were very helpful and ensured sanitization of hands and equipment as they were used.
They had a separate area for cardio and weight which is nice since I didn’t have to stand around watching the muscle heads and feel insecure.
 
Based on the hotel gym, would you stay at this hotel next time you’re in the area?
Yes! I’m not a fan of hotel gyms but it was very spacious and I could find a corner to workout in without getting clustered or in anyone else’s way.
