There’s a squat rack/barbell bench press setup with a fair range of weight plates and a dual cable machine.

There’s a nice selection of barbells as well as dumbbells (up to 55 lbs/25 kgs) and there’s also an adjustable bench to work with.

There’s a stationary bike and a rowing machine if you’re in the mood for cardio.

Accessories include an exercise ball, an exercise mat and a foam roller.

Does the hotel gym offer complimentary towels? Not sure.

Does the hotel gym offer complimentary water? Yes.

You need to get a key card from the reception to use the hotel gym.

Equipment

Dumbbells go up to 70 lbs/32 kgs and there’s a pair of adjustable benches too. Kettlebells go up to 53 lbs/24 kgs.

There’re two squat racks/bench press setups with plenty of plates. There’s even a trap bar!

There’s also a cable machine with a solid selection of handles.

In terms of cardio equipment, there’re two rowing machines and two treadmills.

Accessories cover battle ropes, box jump boxes, exercise balls, exercise mats, a Bosu ball, foam rollers, different elastic bands and sandbags.

Does the hotel gym offer complimentary towels? Yes.

Does the hotel gym offer complimentary water? Yes.

I’m not sure about the opening hours of the hotel gym, but I guess you can go whenever you want since you open the door with the room keycard.

The hotel gym has a PT service as well.

I was happy to see they had barbells, lots of weights, kettlebells and battle ropes.

Yes! It has lots of equipment.

The hotel gym is used by two hotels and opening hours were 24/7.

The available equipment was new.

The temperature in the hotel gym was comfortable.

There’s a squat rack/bench press setup and a multi-gym station allowing for leg extensions, chest presses, seated rows, triceps push-downs, etc.

Cardio equipment covers a cross-trainer, a stationary bike, a rowing machine and a treadmill.

Does the hotel gym offer complimentary towels? Yes.

Does the hotel gym offer complimentary water? Yes.

This hotel gym is pretty great for the small space it was in.

There’s plenty of equipment to get the job done, but probably not if you’re wanting to lift super heavy.

The hotel gym is a little warm because it’s in the basement by the pool and steam rooms.

Opening hours could easily be 24/7.

Not sure, it’s quite old and with limited equipment.

There’re different cable machines including the TechoGym kinesis version, a lat pull-down machine, different barbells and even a squat rack/bench press setup with a nice selection of weight plates.

As for cardio equipment, there’re two treadmills, two cross cross-trainers and two stationary bikes.

Accessories include exercise mats, medicine balls, exercise balls, a punching bag, foam rollers, battle ropes and a Bosu ball.

Does the hotel gym offer complementary towels? Yes.

Does the hotel gym offer complementary water? Yes.

I was happy they had a double cable machine, but disappointed that they didn’t have any machines/equipment specifically for legs.

Yes, it’s a very good hotel gym – and it’s bigger than most of the hotel gyms in the area.

There’s a spinning bike, a treadmill and two cross-trainers.

Dumbbells range from 2 to 22 kg and there’re a couple of adjustable benches as well.

There’s a new cable machine with loads of handles, two pull-up bar stations and battle ropes.

Accessories include yoga mats and exercise/slam balls.

Does the hotel gym offer complementary towels? Not sure.

Does the hotel gym offer complementary water? Yes.

Opening hours are 24/7.

The hotel gym is very clean and well maintained.

There’s also a nice bathroom for gym users only which is very convenient.

I prefer weights to cardio equipment and many hotel gyms just have cardio equipment. To have a place that had a full cable machine, free weights, a pull up station and battle ropes too, provides something for everyone.

Yes – this gym was awesome! It’s honestly one of the best hotel gyms I’ve ever used, mostly because of the varied equipment.

Van der Valk Hotel

A fairly decent range of dumbbells although somewhat limited to lower weights. There’s a squat rack with a fair selection of weight plates. There’s also a few kettle bells and a cable machine.

Cardio-wise there’s a treadmill, a stationary bike and a cross-trainer.

Does the hotel gym offer complementary towels? Yes.

Does the hotel gym offer complementary water? Yes.

The hotel gym is open from 06:00am to 11:00pm and there’s a spa next door.

The gym was clean and the temperature well adjusted.

At the time of my visit, rather loud music was playing on the speakers. I was unable to find the remote/switch to turn it down making it senseless to listen to my own music on my headphones.

Based on the hotel gym, would you stay at this hotel next time you’re in the area?

It’s unlikely – I’ll probably look for other hotels with better hotel gyms.
